Rabbi Meir Lipschitz is from Oceanside, New York and attended Yeshiva University’s High School for Boys (MTA). Following High School he spent a year and a half learning in Yeshivat Kerem B’Yavneh.

Upon completing his BA in Psychology at Yeshiva University in 2005 Rabbi Lipschitz entered two Yeshiva University affiliate programs, the Azrieli Graduate School, where he received his Masters in Jewish Education in 2007, as well as the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary where he received his semicha in 2010.

Rabbi Lipschitz has considerable youth and teen experience, most notably in his five years with Long Island NCSY, and then in his alma mater MTA as a Tanach teacher and the Director of Dormitory Life for two years.

Rabbi Lipschitz has also interned for three shuls: Kesher Israel in Washington D.C. for Rabbi Barry Freundel; Young Israel of Oceanside for Rabbi Jonathan Muskat; and Congregation Beth Sholom in Lawrence NY with Rabbi Kenneth Hain.

He has spent the last two years as a rabbinic and community fellow as a part of Yeshiva University’s Community Beit Midrash in Toronto, where he worked closely with several shuls, schools, and outreach organizations.

Rabbi Lipschitz is married to Jordanna (nee Bregman of Ottawa) who is a registered nurse, and they have one son, Zev.
